NEW ORLEANS – Police are searching for a person of interest who was with a man just prior to him being fatally shot, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Around 8:06 p.m. Monday, Michael Johnson was discovered lying on the front lawn of a home in the 14000 block of Willowbrook Drive, police said. He was suffering multiple gunshot wounds to his head, which led to his eventual death.
During the investigation, detectives learned Eric “Black E” Harrison was with Johnson before the shooting. Harrison is not a suspect in the incident, but detectives believe he may have information.
Detectives learned the incident stemmed from an argument involving Jamal Miller, 30, and his wife, Santell Larkins, 27.
The pair were identified as suspects and arrested, police said.
Miller was booked with second-degree murder and Larkins was booked with accessory after the fact to second-degree murder.
Anyone with information regarding Harrison’s whereabouts is asked to call 504-658-5300 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
