NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police are investigating a shooting on Claiborne Avenue near the Iberville Housing Development involving a school bus.
The shooting happened before 5 p.m. near the intersection of N. Claiborne and Iberville avenues.
A stray bullet struck a school bus, causing glass fragments to injure a girl. Her injuries are not believed to be serious. No one on the bus was hit by a bullet.
Police said a man was injured in a hail of gunfire, but his injuries are non-life threatening.
It's unclear what sparked the shooting, and police haven't released any information on a suspect.
