NEW ORLEANS - There is a $50,000 reward being offered for information that leads to an indictment or conviction of suspects in the case of an armored truck guard who was slain at the Chase Bank near Claiborne and Carrollton Avenues Wednesday.
Police are still searching for the suspects who killed 45-year-old Hector Trochez while the car was at the bank.
Michael Anderson of the FBI said law enforcement does have surveillance video of the incident that was described as an "ambush."
Supt. Ronal Serpas said the police know more than the suspects may think.
"The three people who did this should not underestimate how much we know, and how much we know about them, and this is the time you may want to consider yourself turning yourself in."
Loomis, the company that owns the armored car that was robbed, is offering $25,000 that is being added to other awards, including Crimestoppers.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
Police said the only description of the suspects is that they were three black males between 5'5" and 5'10" inches tall wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts. They used handguns and at least one rifle.
