NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police say they've arrested two men in connection with a deadly double shooting in Algiers.

The shooting happened Saturday night in the 3300 blcok of Garden Oaks Drive at an abandoned apartment complex.

Gregory Surtain, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene. An unidentified 20-year-old was shot in the abdomen, but he survived.

Adrian Wallace, 18, and Brandon Daggs, 20, face first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder charges.

Daggs was already in Orleans Parish prison on a possession of stolen gun charge. According to police, that stolen gun was also the weapon used in the double shooting.

Police say the two suspects "made statements of their involvement in the murder."
