NEW ORLEANS - Police are searching for two suspects in the forcible rape of a woman in late March in the Seventh Ward.
The incident occurred on March 20 around 8:30 a.m. near Mexico and St. Roch Streets.
Police released a sketch of the suspects.
According to police, the suspects were described as: a black male in his early 20s, approximately 5'5" tall with a medium build, curly hair, light acne on his nose and a tattoo of a Chinese symbol on his right inner wrist. He was said to be wearing a white crew neck t-shirt with a black square on the chest area, red and black basketball shorts and white tennis shoes. The second suspect was said to also be a black male in his early 20s, about 5'9" tall with a skinny build and dark complexion and who was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt with pockets.
Police said that after the attack, the suspects were seen in an older model white Toyota Camry 4-door with tinted windows, factory rims and duct tape on the right passenger rear window. The car fled westbound on Filmore Avenue towards Elysian Fields.
