HAMMOND – Two men were arrested for their alleged involvement in multiple storage lot burglaries, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Thursday.
The Robert Mini Storage Lot reported to authorities Monday that over 60 storage units were compromised. A recovery of several stolen firearms Tuesday helped detectives identify 22-year-old Bradley Williams and 25-year-old Anthony Rogers as suspects, Sheriff Daniel Edwards said.
Authorities stopped the men at a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon and connected them to a Shadow Creek Subdivision from interviews with them, Edwards said.
Detectives then received a search warrant to look inside the house and identified several items that matched the stolen property from the storage lot, Edwards said.
Both subjects are charged with 67 counts of burglary and four counts of possession of stolen firearms. Rogers was also charged with 4 counts of a convicted felon being in possession of a fire arm, Edwards said. Additional charges and arrest are believed to be forthcoming as the investigation progresses.
Authorities ask victims of this incident to call the Sheriff’s Office no earlier than July 15 to schedule a day and time to view and recover their property. Victims can contact Detective Tom Wheeler at 985-902-2088.
