NEW ORLEANS — Two teenagers were arrested late Thursday, the final two suspects police said they were searching for in connection to the Panola Street armed robbery a week ago.
Aaron Johnson, 17, is charged with one count each of armed robbery, false imprisonment with a weapon and aggravated burglary. Kevin Jones, 19, is charged with one count each of armed robbery, false imprisonment with a weapon, aggravated burglary and possession of marijuana.
Their arrest comes on top of that of James Johnson, who police said was arrested Wednesday while in the act of committing a sexual assault and armed robbery in the same neighborhood. Police said he was one of three people who participated in a brazen armed robbery on Panola Street on April 4.
In that robbery, two Tulane students were in their house when three men came in, used computer cords to tie them up and robbed them of money, electronic devices and debit cards.
A third student was upstairs in her room and heard a noise coming from her housemate and a friend downstairs.
