Two dead in separate St. John shootings

RESERVE, La. - Two men were shot and killed in overnight incidents in St. John Parish, according to Sheriff Mike Tregre.

In the first incident, deputies responded to a call of a person being shot near the intersection of East 24th Street and Highway LA 44 in Reserve around 9:43 pm Saturday. The victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene was identified as Jamond James of Reserve.

The second incident occurred at 3;33 am Sunday in the 100 block of East 6th Street in Edgard. Deputies responding to the scene found 23-year-old Ralph Thomas dead at the scene.
