NEW ORLEANS - Police are looking for two men who walked into an Algiers' gas station convenience store and robbed the clerk of over $1,000 Monday night.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 3000 block of General DeGaulle,

According to police, the two masked men walked into the store and yelled to the clerk to give them the money.

One of the suspects ran around the counter and demanded the clerk open the register, while the other man remained in front. Police said the clerk handed over $1,200 in cash.

The clerk did not get a good look at the suspects, but some of the incident was captured on a store surveillance camera and the suspects were described as:

Perpetrator#1 is an African American male wearing a blue hoodie and a surgical mask covering his mouth. Suspect# 2 is described as an African American male wearing a blue hoodie and a surgical mask.
