NEW ORLEANS - A 28-year-old woman was arrested and booked Friday in connection with a hit and run robbery of a bicyclist near the intersection of Chestnut and General Taylor.
Police said Shantell Johnson was a passenger in a car that struck the biker on Nov. 9 around 6 p.m. According to police, Johnson jumped out of the car after the accident and pulled out a gun on the biker and demanded his property.
At the same time, police said the vehicle's driver went through the man's pockets and robbed him of a cell phone and cash before the two got back into the car and fled.
Police are checking to see if Johnson is involved in other robberies in the area.
