NEW ORLEANS- A woman visiting the French Quarter was pushed into a vehicle, then driven to an unknown location by four alleged abductors and raped, according to New Orleans police.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of Royal Street.
The woman was treated at LSU Interim Hospital the next day, and reported the incident to police around 5:15 p.m. Saturday.
According to police, the victim was at a bar with friends when they became separated. Police said a man bumped into her as she searched for her friends.
At that time a dark-colored SUV approached. She was put into the vehicle, driven to an unknown location and assaulted.
Police released a description of three of the four alleged abductors. One was said to be a white male with dirty brown hair and dreadlocks pulled into a ponytail. He was said to have a medium to husky build, unkempt hair and a piercing on his right eyebrow.
A second assailant was described as a black male with curly blonde hair, about 6-foot-3 to 6-4 with a thin build, yellow shirt, aqua skinny jeans and white high top shoes.
The third man apparently resembled the first man, described as a white male with long, blonde to brownish hair, dreadlocks and a thin build. He was said to be wearing a black shirt and shorts.
This is one of three rapes in the French Quarter reported in three days.
