NEW ORLEANS --Police are investigating the fatal afternoon shooting of a 27-year-old woman in Central City.
The victim was shot near the intersection of Loyola Avenue and 4th Street around 1 pm, according to police. The victim was found on the sidewalk shot several times.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
