GRETNA - A man is spending the rest of his life behind bars for killing a woman whose body parts were found strewn across Interstate 10 in 2015.
Adam Littleton, 26, was found guilty of second-degree murder in July for the death of 19-year-old Jasilas Wright.
Judge Lee Faulkner of the 24th Judicial District handed down the sentence Thursday morning.
Prosecutors said Littleton was Wright’s pimp and was driving her to Texas against her will when she jumped out of the car on the interstate and was struck by other vehicles and killed.
Officials said Littleton continued on to his trip to Texas, only calling Wright's family to tell them she jumped from his car and never speaking to them again. Prosecutors also said Littleton never called police.
