NEW ORLEANS - Two early evening shootings left two dead and one woman shot in the stomach, according to the NOPD.

Spokesman Garry Flot said that a 22-year-old man died of a gunshot wound to the head. That incident occurred after 6 pm in the 1800 block of LaHarpe Street. The victim was later identified as Kiran Harris, according to the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office.

About an hour and a half later, the police reported that two women suffered gunshot wounds to the stomach in the 1800 block of Onzaga, about two blocks from the first incident.

One of the victims, a 34-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police.  The victim was identified as Zabrina Davis, according to the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office.

The shooting occurred in front of Danny's Seafood. Police on the scene were collecting shell casings in the parking lot.

There is no indication at this time that the incidents are related.
