MARRERO, La. – Deputies are searching for a man and a woman who walked out of the garden center section of a Marrero store with $7,000 worth of electronic equipment, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Around 10 p.m. on April 9, deputies were called to the business in the 4800 block of Lapalco Boulevard.

Video surveillance shows the pair walking out of the store with shopping carts filled with stolen items, deputies said.

The items may have been placed into a light colored Chevrolet Suburban, which was then seen leaving the parking lot headed towards Lapalco Boulevard, according to the JPSO.

The woman is black and has a large tattoo on her left wrist. The tattoo appears to be a sun design with a circle and points extending from the edge. The man is black and was wearing a black T-shirt with what appeared to be a sombrero and flag on the front.

Anyone with information on the incident or who can identify the suspects should call 875-3334, 875-3333 or Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
