Rape suspect at-large after Metairie SWAT roll

After a SWAT team surrounded a house in Metairie Thursday morning, the rape suspect they were after was not inside.

METAIRIE, La. -- After a SWAT team surrounded a house in Metairie Thursday morning, the rape suspect they were after was not inside.

According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, officers were unable to find Brandon Jenkins, who they believed was inside a house on North Sibley Street.

Jenkins, 28, is wanted for first-degree rape, which they say he committed this morning.

Jenkins has a prior criminal history with arrests for burglary, resisting arrest, simple escape, assault and numerous traffic charges according to JPSO.

Anyone with information on Brandon Jenkins' location is asked to call Detective Lloyd robichaux at 504-364-5300 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 504-822-1111.
