Violent Offender Squad arrests four women

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD said its Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS), along with U.S. Marshals, has arrested four women for various major offenses in the past 24 hours.

Police identified the women and their offenses as:

Ferniqua Johnson, 25,  for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. The incident took place in the 5400 block of Burgundy Street on March 9, 2017. She was apprehended in the 1500 block of Spain Street.

Hitchai Bryant, 40,  for two counts of aggravated battery and simple assault for an incident in the 2200 block of Touro Street on March 8, 2017. She was arrested in the 1600 block of Mirabeau Avenue.

Darilyn Brousseau, 35,  for aggravated battery by cutting. She was apprehended in the 4700 block of Tulane Avenue for an incident that occurred in the 4500 block of Annette Street on February 24, 2017.

Lisa Alexander, 46,  for child desertion and a parole violation for theft. She was apprehended in the 2800 block of Upperline for an incident that took place in the 2900 block of Upperline.
