PEARL RIVER, La. -- Police arrested two women from Lacombe on charges of attempted murder, felony hit and run driving and aggravated battery after an argument led to another woman getting hit by a vehicle.
According to the Pearl River police, on Mar. 31, Patricia Brion and Brecan Morgan drove to Leslie Lane after an "argument started through text messages, regarding child care issues, between Brecan Morgan and the female victim."
Morgan, according to witnesses, got out of the vehicle and got into fight with the female victim.
"After the fight, Brion was observed lurching the vehicle forward towards the male victim, who was standing in front of the vehicle. Witnesses’ stated that they saw the vehicle jump forward towards the male victim and they saw him jump out of the way of the vehicle," police said.
The male victim's foot got trapped under the driver's side front wheel. "The female victim believed the male victim was injured so she rushed the vehicle driven by Brion and demanded her to stop. Brion revved the engine, put the vehicle in forward drive and struck the female victim with the vehicle then fled the scene with Morgan," police said.
