Deputy injured in Baton Rouge ambush to attend rehab in Texas

BATON ROUGE – East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputy Nick Tullier’s family told news outlets Monday he will be heading to a Texas rehab facility when his condition allows.

According to WBRZ, Tullier’s transfer to a Houston hospital won’t be immediate. He remains at Our Lady of the Lake hospital. Tullier was critically injured in July, in an ambush attack that killed three other law enforcement officers. He was shot three times – in the abdominal area, head and upper arm.
