PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Philadelphia police are seeking leads after someone in a black, four-door sedan with tinted windows opened fire on a crowd of people surrounding the tour bus of Moroccan-born rapper French Montana after a concert in Philadelphia.
Twenty-six-year-old Jowann King died and another person was hurt in the shooting Thursday at a hotel.
Homicide Capt. James Clark said Friday police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the person firing shots from a passenger window. He says police don't know if the rapper or his entourage were targeted, but added that they are cooperating.
The rapper tweeted Friday evening that his bus was located "in the vicinity of the incident" and that he was not involved.
