BOSTON (AP) — Super Bowl Sunday is not just about football for the Catholic creators of the third annual "Faith Bowl."
This bowl has no hype or Hail Mary passes. It's a roundtable discussion about faith and family between current and former pro baseball players. The program will air on Catholic TV nationwide before and after the Super Bowl.
This year's bowl features Mike Piazza, Mike Sweeney and Bobby Keppel.
The program was created by the Hollywood-based Family Theater Productions. The Catholic company's national director, the Rev. Willy Raymond, says it aims to draw more men and young people to Catholicism.
There's no way how to count many people watch it. Piazza says if just one viewer decides to go back to church, he'll consider Faith Bowl a success.
