METAIRIE, La. - A garbage truck fire in Metairie sent smoke up in the air that people could see for miles on Thursday morning.
It started on a truck in the Louisiana Purchase Restaurant parking lot.
The restaurant had minor damage.
Something in the dumpster part of the truck caught fire, investigators said.
There was no word of any injuries.
