Local leaders concerned after oil sheen begins hitting Pass a Loutre

On May 17, NOAA reported that 29 miles of Louisiana’s coastline already have seen oil reach the shore, specifically at Trinity Island, Whiskey Island, South Pass, Chandeleur Islands, Fourchon Beach, Raccoon Island and Grand Isle.
