LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. - Authorities are attempting to take control of an invasive plant taking over Bayou Lafourche.
Lafourche Parish and Wildlife and Fisheries began spraying herbicide on the massive growth of water hyacinths and hydrillas clogging the bayou.
After it takes effect, the current will eventually carry the dead plants to the gulf.
