RACELAND, La. -- A Central Lafourche High School student is in custody after threatening to detonate a bomb at school Wednesday.

According to Sheriff Craig Webre and Superintendent Jo Ann Matthews, the school was placed on lockdown for a short time Wednesday.  The student admitted to sending emails about the threat through school's website, but detectives deemed the threat to not be credible.

The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
