SCHRIEVER, LA - A seventh grader at a middle school in Schriever was arrested after being caught with six bags of marijuana on the school campus Tuesday, according to the Terrebonne Parish sheriff's office.
Deputies responding to Caldwell Middle School on Highway 311 found the 13-year-old who had been caught by school officials. A spokesperson said members of the narcotics division found six bags of marijuana - approximately 25 grams - with a street value of $150.
The young man was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute in a drug free zone.
The sheriff's office said the young man could also face expulsion from the school.
