Fourth suspect arrested in Houma murder, robbery

Houma, La. – Houma Police have arrested a fourth person in the shooting death of 20-year-old Vincent Andrew Naquin.

Police arrested 19-year-old Jabaar Celestine in connection with the apparent robbery and murder of Naquin, after further investigation into the incident.

On Thursday, August 8, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Houma Police Officers were dispatched to 526 Louise Street in reference to a shooting.

When they arrived, officers located Naquin suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Officers learned that three male suspects entered the residence, confronted the victim and shot him. The suspects then left the area in an unknown white vehicle.

Through video footage of the suspects entering and exiting the residence, Houma Police were able to identify the three suspects as 20-year-old Kevone Cook, 18-year-old Treyvance Fanguy, and 21-year-old LaMont Nixon. All three turned themselves in to police and were arrested for second degree murder and armed robbery.

According to police, the motive to the murder appears to be robbery, however the investigation is still ongoing.
