Houma, LA-  A 33-year-old man died Saturday afternoon, after failing to negotiate a turn on Louisiana Highway 660 in Houma.

Just after 4 p.m., Louisiana State Police say Houma resident Robb Martinez was traveling southbound on LA 660, just north of LA 3087.  Martinez was going into a turn when his motorcycle went off the roadway.  Martinez was ejected from his motorcycle and struck a utility pole.

State Police say Martinez was wearing a helmet.  He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.  State Police say speed and a lack of riding knowledge may have been factors in the crash.  They do not suspect alcohol impairment, but toxicology tests are pending.
