HOUMA, La. — A Houma man was sentenced to 99 years of hard labor after pleading guilty to molestation and pornography, the Louisiana Attorney General’s office said.
Scott Thomas Massey, 35, was indicted in 2012 after a joint undercover investigation between the Attorney General Buddy Caldwell’s office and the Terrebonne Sheriff’s Office found him to be recording videos of himself “fondling numerous children while the children slept,” the news release said.
Massey pleaded guilty to eight counts of molestation and eight counts of production of child pornography of a person under the age of 13.
Judge Randall Bethancourt ruled Massey must serve the entire sentence without the chance of probation, parole or a suspension of the sentence.
“Our highest priority is making certain that people who commit crimes against our children are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Caldwell said.
