NEW ORLEANS -- Detectives are asking the public's help to find a missing Houma mental patient, the Terrebonne Sheriff's Office said.
Elroy Neville, 51, 134 King St., was reported missing from the hospital Friday evening, Maj. Malcolm Wolfe said. He wouldn't release the hospital's name and says it's not clear how he escaped.
Neville is 5 feet, 11 inches and weighs about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a hospital gown. Neville is prone to seizures, Wolfe said.
Callers said they spotted Neville on Denley Road and in Ashland North, but police have been unable to find him. The ongoing search includes police dogs and helicopters.
Call 876-2500 if you spot Neville or know his whereabouts.
