A Thibodaux man is being accused of more than 25 burglaries and thefts during the holiday season.
Keith Williams, who will turn 22 on Christmas, was arrested on Friday and charged with 29 counts of various crimes related to a string of thefts and burglaries the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's office believer an from Nov. 21 through Dec. 20.
Police said they detained Williams upon finding him in his car, stuck in a sugarcane filed near Midway Street, with a stolen mp3 player in his possession.
According to deputies, Williams was brought in for questioning and admitted to 12 other vehicle burglaries in the Midway Subdivision as well as several other burglaries and thefts in the Bayou Country Club, Highland Lakes and Waverly Oaks subdivisions.
Williams was charged with 22 counts of simple burglary of a vehicle, three counts of theft and four counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Williams is being held a the Lafourche Parish Detention Center for Louisiana Probation and Parole.
