HOUMA, La. -- Police arrested a Maryland man and are looking for a second man in connection with a shooting and robbery on Aug. 23, according to the Houma Police Department.

Matthew Holyfield, 21, of Maryland, was arrested and charged with principal to attempted first-degree murder, principal to armed robbery and use of a firearm, police said, for his role in the shooting of a man in the 500 block of Grand Calliou Road. The male victim was shot in the abdomen.

A second man, Andre O'Brien Calloway, 25, of Houma, is wanted by Houma detectives. Police have a warrant for Calloway for attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery with a firearm.

Holyfield was arrested Wednesday and is in Terrebonne Parish Jail.
