HOUMA, La. – One man has been arrested and another is being sought in connection with the home invasion shooting and robbery of a man and woman early Wednesday.

Joseph Hayes, 22, was arrested on one count of attempted first-degree murder and one count of home invasion.

Terrebonne Parish sheriff’s deputies said Hayes and John Ross Harold, 30, participated in the crime in which a man who answered a door in the 3600 block of Thomas Drive was shot in the head and a woman who was inside of the building was robbed.

The male victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Harold is still at large and also has outstanding warrants from Mississippi for multiple counts of burglary and weapons violations. He is considered armed and dangerous.
