Police: Man tried to kiss store clerks, yelled at customers

CHAUVIN, La. - A Florida man accused of harassing customers at a Chauvin business, attempting to hug and kiss the clerks, and later yelling at passing traffic was arrested Thursday on charges of simple assault and disturbing the peace by intoxication.

Terrebonne Parish sheriff’s deputies said David Manuel Medina, 52, 7029 Cedar Lane, Brooksville, Fla., was located walking along the highway south of the Family Dollar Store, 5100 La. 56, where the incidents happened, waving his hands and yelling at passing traffic.
