Raceland man dies after driving off the road, hitting a tree

GIBSON, La. - A Raceland man died after his truck went off the highway and hit a tree, according to State Police. 

Around 8 p.m. Sundau, Tommy Lebouef, 34, was headed west on LA 182 near Gibson, when his truck went of the road as he exited a curve.  Lebouef's truck slammed into a tree, and he was pronounced dead on the scene, according to State Police.

Alcohol use is suspected to be factor in the crash, and toxicology tests are pending.  The crash remains under investigation.
