THIBODAUX, La. – A 24-year-old man was arrested after deputies said he stabbed a man with a kitchen fork and a kitchen knife in a dispute that lasted several hours.

Malcolm Green, was charged with second-degree aggravated battery and criminal damage to property. The incident occurred on Friday, March 8 on Carol Street.

According to Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre, Green and the victim began arguing Friday evening and the encounter became physical with Green stabbing the victim a couple of times with a fork. That encounter apparently left the victim with only minor lacerations.

Later that evening Webre said that Green returned and began smashing the windshield of the victim’s car. At that time, the victim came out to confront Green, who stabbed the victim with a knife with an eight-inch blade.

The victim was eventually transported to a local hospital after it was discovered he had suffered a punctured lung. He was treated and subsequently released.
