BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Baton Rouge Police Chief Jeff LeDuff says the slaying of his wife's brother is a painful reminder that nobody is immune from violent crime.
Police say 45-year-old Christopher Dominigue was found lying in the middle of a street early Saturday and had died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Police said two people were taken into custody and charged with murder and armed robbery.
LeDuff said in a statement that "violent crime affects us all" and the community should work together to "find some way to stop this senseless, wasteful killing."
