GARYVILLE, La. -- A St. John is wanted for a fatally shooting another man after an argument over gambling, according to Sheriff Mike Tregre.
Depuites were called to the 200 block of Little Hope Street Sunday around 8 p.m., according to Tregre, where deputies found Michael Lee who had several gunshot wounds to the torso. Lee was taken first to River Parish Hospital and then to a hospital in the New Orleans area where he later died.
"The investigation revealed that Lee and the perpetrator engaged in a verbal altercation while gambling. During the argument, the perpetrator produced a handgun and fired it several times striking Lee and a nearby trailer," said a statement from Tregre.
Tevin Bolden, 18, of Garyville, was identified as the shooter by the sheriff's office. Bolden is wanted for second degree murder, attempted second degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal use of a weapon. He remains at large, according to sheriff's office.
