GONZALES, La. (AP) — State police say a fiery single-car crash in the Brittany community of Ascension Parish has killed a 47-year-old Gonzales man.
Troopers say it happened around 1 a.m. Friday.
Benjamin J. Leboeuf (leh BUFF) was driving a 2009 Corvette southbound on Louisiana Highway 941 when he ran off the road. The car went into a ditch, struck an embankment and rolled over several times before landing in a driveway and catching fire.
State police said they have not determined what caused the driver to leave the roadway. A toxicology sample was sent to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
