NEW ORLEANS -- Two of three suspects are in custody in connection with the November murder and carjacking of a man in Algiers, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
The arrests stem from an incident on Nov. 25, when 27-year-old Fernando Eyzaguirre was shot and killed in the 5100 block of General De Gaulle.
NOPD spokeswoman Remi Braden said the trio demanded Eyzaguirre get out of his car while he was sitting in it. He did so without any resistance, Braden said, but they allegedly shot and killed him anyway.
Marke Simmons, 20, and Jaroid Washington, 17, have both been arrested in the case. They face first-degree murder and carjacking charges.
Police are also searching for 17-year-old Milton Wilson. Braden said he's also wanted on carjacking and first-degree murder charges.
"This was a cold-blooded killing, and I commend our homicide detectives for their dedication and hard work, which has led to the arrest of two suspects," said NOPD Superintendent Ronal Serpas.
Police have not released a description or picture of Wilson.
