PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) — The show will go on, says promoters for rapper Lil Boosie.
An attorney for a spring break promotion group say they are still hoping to host a Lil Boosie rap concert at the Jackson County Fairgrounds despite a contract dispute with Jackson County.
On Tuesday, the county canceled a contract to rent the fairgrounds next month because they say the group made no mention of a concert. County Administrator Brian Fulton says the rental contract was for a car show.
Later, Fulton says the event was being advertised as a concert by Lil Boosie, whose real name is Torence Hatch.
Ocean Springs attorney Earl Denham, who represents the concert promoters, says he'll meet with county officials Friday to settle the disagreement so the concert can go ahead on April 18.
