BATON ROUGE, La. -- Police have given the all clear at the Baton Rouge airport after it was evacuated because of another bomb threat.
Airport police received a call around 4:30 p.m. Thursday about a possible bomb in a parking garage.
After checking every building and all three parking garages, officials found no bomb.
Three outgoing flights were delayed and incoming flights were allowed to land, but did not go to the gates.
While people inside the airport were evacuated, there were plenty waiting outside to pick up loved ones, drop off friends or catch flights.
“I was waiting to file a baggage claim for a lost bag, and then they suddenly said everybody evacuate the building,” said one person at the airport. “And I said, well OK, forget about my lost bag. Let me just go to my car and get out of here. And they said nope, you can’t do that either.”
“I was surprised because given that I just evacuated from LSU on Monday for the same thing,” said another person. “All my family on Facebook is very surprised that it’s going on again.”
