BATON ROUGE, La. - Candy Edwards, the former wife of jailed ex-governor Edwin Edwards was allegedly the victim of domestic abuse over the weekend, according to a police report that first came to light in a news report by WWL Radio.
The police report from East Baton Rouge Parish says that 34-year-old Brian Low, who has a child with Candy Edwards, was arrested and charged with second-degree battery after a deputy arrived at Low’s mother’s home and found Edwards bleeding from a cut on the side of her forehead and with half of a tooth missing.
The report says that attack occurred when Edwards went to the home to pick up their child.
