NEW ORLEANS - An empty car was found in the lake at the Twin Spans on Wednesday morning, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Police discovered the car had been involved in a hit-and-run accident with an 18-wheeler late Tuesday night.
The driver, who was shaken up and suffered minor injuries, swam out of the water, according to the NOPD.
Police are looking for an 18-wheeler with the name "Raynor" on the side that reportedly hit the SUV.
Boh Bros construction was trying to figure out what happened since a guard rail was damaged.
A tow truck was on the way to the scene around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.
