NEW ORLEANS - Last-minute changes will affect voting locations for some voters in Orleans Parish on Tuesday. Changes will affect eight locations in all, according to Orleans Parish Clerk of Criminal Court Arthur Morrell.
Morrell stresses how helpful it is for voters to know their ward and precinct information, though voters will be allowed to vote at any location, with provisional ballots. To find out where you are supposed to vote, you can click here for the Secretary of State's web site.
Voters in Ward 3, Precincts 12, 14 & 15, who were expecting to vote at Grace Episcopal Church, 3700 Canal St., will now vote at Engine House 26, 436 S. Jefferson Davis Pkwy.
Voters in Ward 5, Precinct 4, who were voting at Holy Faith Temple Baptist Church will vote at Craig Elementary School, 1423 St. Philip.
In Ward 7, Precincts 23 and 24, voters who were casting ballots at Dillard University will now vote at the New Orleans Public Library branch at 3001 Gentilly Blvd.
Ward 9, Precinct 1, 4, 7 and 8 voters, instead of voting at Frederick Douglass High, will vote at All Souls Episcopal Church, 5500 St. Claude Ave. Ward 9, Precincts 3, 5, 5a will cast ballots at MLK Charter School on Caffin Ave.
Ward 9, Precinct 23, voting will move from Blessed Seelos Parish Hall to a private home at 2036 Louisa St. Precinct 25 voting will move from Seelos to Greater Evergreen Baptist Church, 2243 Clouet St.
Ward 9, Precinct 44o will move from Mary Queen of Vietnam Church to New Home Family Worship Ctr., 13800 Hayne Blvd.
Ward 12, Precincts 4 and 6 will move from Crocker Arts & Technology School, 1111 Milan, to St. George Episcopal School, 923 Napoleon Ave.
Finally, voting at The Landing at Behrman Place, 3601 Behrman Place, for Ward 15, Precinct 14G, will move to Woldenberg Village, 3663 Behrman Place.
