NEW ORLEANS – Hundreds of people will make the trek to the annual Greek Festival this weekend near the banks on Bayou St. John close to the lakefront, however, those who do are strongly cautioned to watch where they park.
The city of New Orleans said it will be out in force monitoring for illegal parking that includes: blocking fire hydrants, driveways and sidewalks; parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk, intersection or stop sign and parking in handicap zones.
In addition, they warn that vehicles that park on neutral grounds will likely be cited and towed. Parking on the bank of Bayou St. John is also prohibited and will be strictly enforced.
On-street parking of vehicles equipped with living accommodations are prohibited and will be enforced 7pm-7am.
