SLIDELL, La. -- Fireworks sales are hot on the Northshore.
On stand in Slidell said business has been excellent this year, and the best day, July 4, hasn't even happened yet.
The owner said business is much better in places like Louisiana, which was under a burn ban last year, compared to the rest of the country, where many burn bans are active this year.
"With the heat wave and all that, a lot of burn bans and everything going in the Midwest, the sales in the Midwest have really been affected versus our northern stores and our southern stores,” said John Nicholson of Louisiana Fireworks Outlet.
