NEW ORLEANS - Sheriff's deputies captured for an inmate who escaped from the Orleans Parish Prison facility by scaling a razor wire fence during exercise period Tuesday.

Around 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Sean Andry, 46, was caught near at the intersection of Columbus and North Villere streets, according to the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office. He was taken to University Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained from the razor wire when he escaped.

Andry was originally charged with theft over $500, possession of stolen property over $500, resisting an officer and a detainer. His bond was set at $15,000.

An internal investigation is being conducted into the actions of the deputy and supervisor on duty at the time of the escape.
