ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. -- Authorities captured a man who escaped from the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office.

Around 4:30 a.m., Charles Conrad, who was working in the kitchen, escaped from the jail by scaling a fence by a dumpster, the sheriff's office said.
