JP government to deliver more documents to feds

JEFFERSON, La. -- The Jefferson Parish government is expected to deliver more documents Friday that were requested by a federal grand jury.

The documents relate to insurance benefits and supplemental benefits for parish employees dating back to January 1, 2002. They are required to deliver information provided by any insurance provider, including but not limited to Coventry Health Care of Louisiana and UnitedHealthcare.

Included in the subpoena are contracts and agreements or proposed contracts and agreements, requests for proposals or solicitations, correspondence and e-mail, sales and promotion material, invoices and bill statements, records of payment, documents reflecting payment of insurance premiums, documents reflecting the discussion of or hearing relating to benefits for JP employees, and documents relating to extensions granted by JP government ot insurance providers.
